王德亮是新华小学的高级华文教师。她在过去几年，一直负责学校华文部门的阅读与赏析小组，致力于培养学生的华文阅读兴趣，推广中文阅读。此外，她也积极推动校内的写作项目，提升学生的写作能力。她也曾在上海新加坡国际学校担任中学戏剧科目教师长达5年。德亮也是一名资深戏剧从业者，她曾经活跃于戏剧界20多年。

Profile

Ms Ong Teck Lian is a senior teacher at Northland Primary School, specialising in teaching Chinese language. Over the past years, she has led the Read and Appreciation Programme in the school’s Chinese department, which focuses on promoting reading and cultivating a love for Chinese literature among students. She has also been actively involved in developing a school-based writing programme. Prior to joining Northland Primary School, she taught secondary school drama at Shanghai Singapore International School for five years. In addition to her teaching career, she has been an active theatre practitioner for over two decades, participating in various theatrical projects.

工作坊内容简介

本工作坊将以《小王子》为例，指导家长如何通过绘制星球和情节图，让孩子更好地理解故事。过后，讲员也会让家长了解如何安排孩子进行角色朗读，体验不同角色的情感和语言风格，以及通过提出问题，如小王子为什么要离开家园，引导孩子思考人生意义和成长经历。这些方法将有助孩子培养对中文阅读的兴趣和深度理解能力。最后，王老师将跟家长分享如何通过动手做、开口说、动脑筋，一起来体验中文阅读的乐趣。

Synopsis

Ms Ong will use "The Little Prince" as an example to guide parents on how to help children better understand stories. Through the use of plot diagrams, role-play, and questioning techniques, parents can help children cultivate an interest in reading Chinese books and enhance their comprehension skills. These methods will enable children to develop both a deep understanding of, and enthusiasm for Chinese reading. The session will conclude with Ms Ong sharing with parents how they can foster an enjoyable and engaging approach to Chinese learning through hands-on activities, oracy exercises and collaborative brainstorming.
