介绍

朱思洁是国家图书馆管理局的助理图书馆员。她的工作让她接触高素质的华文书籍，并给她提供了了解当下阅读趋势的机会。她乐于把自己所知道的与家长和孩子们分享。曾担任教学工作的她也观察到良好的阅读习惯有利于语言的学习，因此她积极提倡阅读，尤其是阅读母语书籍，而这正是她每日的工作，也是她所喜爱的。

Profile

Ms Melissa Choo is an Associate Librarian with the National Library Board. Her work provides her with the opportunity to keep up with the reading trends in Chinese children’s books, and it brings her much joy to be able to share these with the community at the programmes she conducts and oversees for parents and children. As a former educator, Ms Melissa observed that developing the habit of reading helps children master a language. She is now an advocate for reading, especially in the Mother Tongue, in her daily work, which she enjoys greatly.

在讲故事之前，思洁会进行一些暖身活动，例如手指活动。讲故事的时候，参与者将有机会进行互动交流。故事讲完后，思洁会进行一些延展活动，例如：游戏。在活动的最后，思洁会推荐更多有趣的绘本，也会分享discoveReads网站上的阅读资源。

Synopsis

Every story is made up of a group of characters and a series of events. As the story unfolds, who knows what will happen next? Young readers are encouraged to follow the stories and embark upon a magical journey as Ms Melissa Choo shares stories which spark creativity and imagination!

Before the storytelling begins, there will be some pre-reading activities, such as finger exercises. Participants will also be able to interact with the book during the storytelling. There will also be post-reading activities, such as games, for participants to take part in. The session will conclude with the sharing of more stories and other reading resources on the National Library Board’s discoveReads webpage.
