讲者介绍

吴国雄博士在结合动漫与教学方面有超过20年的经验。他在教育界创办过许多全国性活动，例如“漫画与华文教师讲座”和“校际漫画比赛”。他开发的项目也曾荣获许多机构的支持与赞助，包括李光耀双语基金、推广华语理事会、以及中华语言文化基金。目前，他致力于提升动漫教学的理论与实践，在新加坡华文教研中心为教师授课。他的一套漫画也成为一些学校的指定读本，沿用超过十年。

Profile

Dr Gary Goh has more than 20 years of experience integrating manga into pedagogy. He founded several events, such as the National Comics and Chinese Language Teachers’ Seminars, and the National Comics Challenge. His works have received support from the Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism, the Promote Mandarin Council, and the Chinese Language and Culture Fund. At present, he continues to improve the theory and practice of Manga Pedagogy through his courses at the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language. One of his comic series has been used as a selected text in some schools for over a decade.

如何善用动漫，让孩子喜欢华文？家长和教师可以挑选哪些动漫作品来引导孩子学习华文？吴博士将在讲座中和参与者分享动漫教学在21世纪的发展，以及讲解动漫如何辅助学生的教与学。吴博士也会推荐一些适合孩子学华文的动画作品，并跟参与者一同现场作画，从中体验漫画创作如何促进语言学习和思维能力。

Synopsis

How can we make use of comics and animation to inspire children to develop a love for Chinese language? What are some educational comics that parents and teachers can recommend to their children? In this workshop, Dr Goh will guide participants to understand the development of Manga Pedagogy in the 21st century, and how it is used to support teaching and learning. Dr Goh will recommend some animation for children,  and engage participants in comic-drawing. Participants will experience how comic creation can enhance language and thinking competencies.
