陈如意副教授是新跃社科大学学前华文教育学士以及学前专业硕士课程主任。她从事师资培训工作多年，包括参与学前、小学和中学教师语言教学培训工作。陈副教授多年来积极开展儿童语言教学，并为儿童设计语言学习课程。

Profile

A/P Sin Joo Ee is currently the head of the Bachelor and Master’s Programmes in Early Childhood Education (Chinese) at Singapore University of Social Sciences. She has been active in children's language teaching for many years with a particular focus on training early childhood educators, primary teachers and secondary school teachers. A/P Sin Joo Ee also develops courses in the acquisition of the Chinese Language by young children.

喜爱并愿意阅读，才能享受阅读带来的乐趣。让幼儿阅读超过自己认知与接受能力的读本，就会适得其反，使孩子最终失去阅读的兴趣。
众所周知，兴趣的培养比知识的灌输更有效。在本次分享中，陈副教授将会与大家分享如何通过了解幼儿的阅读水平，按照幼儿的年龄、思维等特征，选择合适的分级读本，达至让幼儿喜欢阅读中文读本并能够自主阅读的目的。

Synopsis

A love of reading should be nurtured, not forced. One will only enjoy reading if there is interest and the willingness to read. Hence, if young children read books that are beyond their cognitive and comprehension level, this may backfire and cause them to lose interest in reading.
It is widely recognised that cultivating interest is more effective than simply imparting knowledge.
In this session, A/P Sin will share with participants how to select books that are appropriate for children’s age and cognitive levels, allowing them to read at their own level, as well as to ensure the children enjoy reading.
