林美莲博士拥有超过20年的学前教学和师资培训经验，在学前课程设计方面积累了大量的宝贵经验。她目前是职总优儿学府母语课程策划总监，参与管理170所学前中心。她与校长和学前教育工作者密切合作，为提升学前师资培训、课程设计、学习环境、教具和教学法做出贡献。她同时也是推广华文学习委员会学前教育组的主要委员。

Profile

Dr Connie Lum has worked in the early childhood field for over 20 years, and has accumulated a wealth of experience in curriculum design. She is currently Director, Mother Tongue Languages (NTUC First Campus), and is involved in the management of 170 preschools. She works closely with principals and teachers in delivering the Chinese curriculum and programmes to children through curriculum writing, the training of teachers, the evaluation of children’s learning environment, and the continuous review of curriculum tools and techniques. She is also a key member of the Committee to Promote Chinese Language Learning Preschool Group.

本分享会将采用本地创作的歌曲来调动小朋友学习华文的兴趣。林博士长期从事幼儿教育工作，非常熟悉儿童学习和游戏的方式，并善于捕捉儿童在生活中生动有趣的瞬间作为创作的素材。工作坊有几个组成部分，包括：绘本与歌曲、游戏与歌曲、节奏与歌曲等活动。

Synopsis

In this session, Dr Lum will share the use of songs composed by local writers, to pique children’s interest in learning Chinese. Dr Lum has many years of experience working with young children, and has used her deep familiarity with how children learn and play to capture vivid and interesting moments of children's lives in song. In this workshop, she will guide participants how to use these locally composed Chinese songs to arouse children’s interest in learning Chinese. The workshop consists of several segments including picture books and songs, games and songs, rhythm and songs.
