Ms Foo Wan Yueh
Ms Foo has been an educator for more than 20 years, teaching Chinese language in both secondary school and preschool. Currently, she is a lecturer training early childhood educators at the National Institute of Early Childhood Development (NIEC).
The acquisition of Chinese language is not independent of other learning areas. In fact, in an appropriately-designed and well-facilitated lesson that applies the principle of Integrated Approach to Learning, language acquisition happens naturally and effectively. In this sharing session, early educators and parents of young children will explore how the acquisition of Chinese language can be promoted through simple numeracy activities.
