தன்விவரம்

முனைவர் க. காவேரி, தமது முனைவர் பட்டக் கல்வியை நன்யாங் தொழில்நுட்பப் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் மேற்கொண்டார். தற்போது இவர் சிங்கப்பூர் சமூக அறிவியல் பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் இளம்பருவக் கல்வித்துறையில் பணிபுரிகிறார். இருபது ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலாகக் கல்வித்துறையில் பணியாற்றியுள்ளார். தற்போது இளம்பருவக் கல்வியாளர்களுக்குப் பணியிடைப் பயிற்சியும் பணிக்கு முந்தைய பயிற்சியும் வழங்கி வருகிறார். இவர் நிலைத்தன்மைக் கல்வி, பிள்ளையை மையமாகக்கொண்ட வழிகாட்டுதல், வீடு-பள்ளி பங்காளித்துவம், ஆசிரியருக்கும் பிள்ளைகளுக்கும் இடையே நிகழும் தரமான கருத்துப்பரிமாற்றம் ஆகிய தமது விருப்பக் கூறுகளில் ஆய்வுகள் மேற்கொண்டுள்ளார்.

Profile

Dr. G Kaveri is a Senior Lecturer in the Early Childhood Education department at the Singapore University of Social Sciences. She has over twenty years of experience in education and works with in-service and pre-service early childhood educators. Her research interests include child-centered guidance, sustainability education, home-school partnership and quality teacher-child interactions.

இளம் பிள்ளைகள் தங்கள் மொழித் திறனை வளர்த்துக்கொள்ள ஆரம்ப ஆண்டுகள் மிகவும் முக்கியமானவை. தமிழ்மொழியைக் கற்றுக்கொள்வது, நமது பண்பாடு பாரம்பரியத்தைப் புரிந்துகொள்வதற்கும் நமது அடையாளத்தைப் போற்றுவதற்கும் சமூகத்துடன் இணைந்திருப்பதற்கும் வாய்ப்புகளை வழங்குகிறது. எனவே, பெற்றோர்கள், கல்வியாளர்கள் என்ற நிலையில் அதற்கு உகந்த, தரமான சூழல்களை வழங்குவது நமது பொறுப்பு. இச்சூழல்கள், இளம் பிள்ளைகளின் கேட்டல், பேசுதல் திறன்களை வலுப்படுத்தவும் மகிழ்வுறு கற்றலை வளர்க்கவும் வாய்ப்புகளை வழங்க வேண்டும். இந்தப் பகிர்வின்மூலம் பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் அன்றாடக் கருத்துப்பரிமாற்றங்கள் வழியாகப் பிள்ளைகளின் கேட்டல், பேசுதல் திறன்களை வலுப்படுத்துவதுபற்றி அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள். மேலும், இளம் பிள்ளைகளை விளையாட்டு, இசை, குழந்தை இலக்கியம் முதலியவற்றின்மூலம் மகிழ்வுறுவகையில் தமிழ்மொழியைக் கற்க ஊக்குவிப்பதைப்பற்றியும் தெரிந்துகொள்வார்கள்.

Synopsis

The early years are crucial for children’s language development. Learning Tamil language enhances cultural understanding, identity appreciation, and community connection. As parents and educators, we must create responsive, engaging, and nurturing Tamil language-rich environments that strengthen children’s listening and speaking skills and promote joyful learning. This session focuses on ‘tuning in’ to children through everyday interactions, strengthening listening and speaking skills and nurturing joyful Tamil language learning. Participants will engage in role-plays and discussions about facilitating Tamil language learning through games, music, and children’s literature. These activities offer practical ways to promote joyful Tamil language learning in young children.
