Profile
Ms Anthea Ong, leveraging her 5 years of teaching experience, has been internally appointed as the Subject Head of Educational Technology (EdTech) at her school. She is deeply committed to enhancing the learning experiences and outcomes of her students by actively integrating EdTech tools into daily instructional practices. Notably, Ms. Ong enriches the Applied Learning Programme (ALP) with these tools, fostering the development of effective communication skills and 21st-century competencies among her students.
Ms. Lim Shu Ning, a Chinese Language teacher from Qifa Primary School, currently embarks on her fourth year as an educator. She staunchly advocates for the creation of authentic learning experiences tailored for Mother Tongue Language learners. At the forefront of her school's Mother Tongue Language Applied Learning Programme (ALP)- Effective Communication, Ms Lim seamlessly integrates ALP programme into the Mother Tongue curriculum to develop students into confident and proficient speakers while fostering the Joy of Learning.

Synopsis
Qifa Primary School's Applied Learning Programme (ALP) is designed to equip primary school students with essential 21st-century skills. There is a particular emphasis on effective communication and self-confidence enhanced through the integration of educational technology. This sharing session will focus on experiential learning techniques such as role-play in simulated real-life scenarios, facilitated by digital tools that allow students to practice fundamental conversational skills. Additionally, speakers will share their approach to product differentiation in their Mother Tongue Languages Annual Publication, which features diverse works like book reviews, picture book creations, and model essays, all enriched with multimedia elements and interactive content. These elements are thoughtfully integrated into the curriculum to foster interdisciplinary learning and digital literacy. Participants will leave with an understanding of how to implement similar educational strategies and integrate technology into their own contexts, so as to enable students to become confident and articulate communicators ready to thrive in a global environment.
