董亚茹博士是圣婴女子小学（大巴窑）的高级华文教师，已在该校任教6年。她是2023年全国杰出华文教师奖的获奖者之一。她热衷于利用多元教学策略促进有效课堂学习，希望通过 “玩中学” 来激发学生对华文学习的兴趣，并通过自主学习培养终身学习的良好习惯。董老师擅长利用资讯科技辅助华文教学。在提高学生口语表达能力方面，她认为人工智能工具可以为学生提供丰富的学习体验，提高学生的口语表达和语言能力。
Profile
Dr Dong Yaru has been a Senior Chinese Language Teacher at CHIJ Primary (Toa Payoh) for six years. A recipient of the 2023 Distinguished Chinese Language Teacher Award, she is dedicated to using diverse teaching strategies to create effective classrooms, sparking students’ interest in Chinese Language learning, and cultivating lifelong learning habits. Proficient in utilising Edtech to support Chinese Language instruction, she believes that AI tools can provide students with a rich learning experience, particularly in improving their oral expression and language proficiency.

本次分享会，董博士着重探讨如何利用人工智能（AI）工具的自动评价功能来提升学生的华语口语表达能力，以及独立学习的能力，协助家长支持孩子的学习，并培养学习者终身学习的好习惯。此外，董博士也希望教师能将人工智能（AI）工具融入到日常的华文教学中。董博士特别希望与那些家庭用语以英语为主的小孩的家长分享个人教学心得。
Synopsis
In this session, Dr Dong aims to explore the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) learning tools to enhance the Chinese oral skills of students. The session will focus on leveraging the automated feedback function of selected learning platforms to guide parents in supporting their children’s learning, encourage students to embark on self-directed learning, and, in turn, instil life-long learning dispositions in students. In particular, Dr Dong hopes to share personal teaching insights with parents of children from families where English is the primary language spoken at home.
